Celltei Pak-o-Bird Travel Carrier X-Small [Review]

Thanks for visiting my Celltei Pak-o-Bird Travel Carrier review.? This review was a lot of fun to research and I hope you find it valuable if you are looking for information about Celltei bird backpacks and the company who makes them.

Why Am I Reviewing The Celltei Pak O Bird X-Small?

I have to say, I am mad keen on buying a bird backpack sometime soon!? I have written another post outlining all sorts of good reasons why you might want to take your pet budgie for a daily walk – you can read it here.

But here’s the thing – I don’t have an endless bucket of money!

And some significant others in my life might question whether the purchase of a backpack for my budgie might be somewhat extravagant. The family budget can only be squeezed so much!

The Celltei Pak O Bird was at the very top of my ‘I’d like to buy that’ list!? Some might call the backpack a ‘premium’ purchase – it certainly costs more than other similar ones.

But as the saying goes – you get what you pay for – right?

Or do you?

This review will confirm or debunk that theory – and maybe persuade my hubby to buy me one 🙂

So first a disclaimer: obviously, I do not own this backpack (yet!), but have consulted the company website, online retailers, existing owners of the product and waded through customer reviews, in order to provide a thorough review of this product.

Business Information

Company Background

Originally founded in 1999 with the idea to build a business with products that enable people to ‘live in style’, the company Style Living and its Celltei (phonetically sounds as ‘hand carry’ in Mandarin) trademark brand are based in Brooklyn, New York.

The business of designing pet products originated from the owners’ interest in hiking and traveling and from the unintended rescue of a Yorkie canine from overseas.

From one backpack pet carrier design, produced by a contracted factory in 2001, and the trial introduction of a few other products, it now designs and manufactures a complete line of pet travel carriers and ships to over 40 countries.

Current products include travel carriers designed specifically for birds (of all sizes), dogs, cats, monkeys and even ferrets!

My Recommendation

I am very satisfied that the Celltei Pak-o-Bird would be a great choice for anyone looking to purchase a compact, yet versatile, bird-friendly backpack.

The carrier is robustly constructed and well designed – built with human and bird comfort in mind. I love the customization options – various perch height, wearing options and a little ‘Budgies for Beginners’ monogram would certainly seal the deal for me!

There are very few negative customer reviews (a broken cup was about it) and this is always a good sign of a quality product.

Do I think it’s worth its ‘premium’ price?

Well, yes, I think I do!

If you’re still unconvinced whether a bird carrier backpack may be a good investment or not, I invite you to read my earlier post here.

Until next time,
